  Resthaven Funeral Home was established by lifelong Sinton resident Yvonne Cantu-Moran in March 2007.  Yvonne graduated Sinton High School and Commonwealth College of Funeral Service in Houston, Texas.  She has worked extensively in the funeral industry since 1991.  Yvonne was employed as a Funeral Director/Embalmer by Allison Funeral Services in Liberty, Texas, Memory Gardens Funeral Home in Corpus Christi, Texas and as Manager at Sterling Funeral Home in Dayton, Texas.  Yvonne is the daughter of Guadalupe Cantu and the late Charlie Cantu. Yvonne and husband, Lee, have two daughters, Autumn and Brittany.

  Resthaven Funeral Home specializes in personal and dignified funeral services, offers a large selection of monuments and accepts pre-paid funeral arrangements made at other funeral homes.  Resthaven Funeral Home’s state-of-the-art facility assures your loved one’s final memory will be personal, memorable and lasting.  Look for future Resthaven Chapels in neighboring Odem and Taft.

Dennis E. Coy passed away May 18, 2013. He was 69. Dennis was born on October 4, 1943 in Scotts Bluff, Nebraska to Danzel Lee and Maxine Lorene Brown Coy. Dennis was a Mud Engineer for over 20 years. He was currently employed by Baker Hughes. Dennis was formerly of Houston, Texas but made Sinton, Texas his home for the past 20 years.

Survivors include wife Leticia Coy of Sinton, Texas; son: Danny Coy of Corpus Christi, Texas; daughters: Christina (James) Pyeatt of North Carolina and Ashley Coy of Corpus Christi, Texas; sister: Diana Johnson of Iowa; mother-in-law: Guadencia Gonzales of the Philippines; grandchildren: Reagan A. Coy, Conner D. Coy, Isaac Nix, Josalin Pyeatt and Baby Pyeatt.

All services will be private.

Tumlinson, Joe William
Resthaven Obituaries

2013039_1.jpgJoe William Tumlinson of Sinton, Texas passed away on May 18, 2013. Joe was born October 19, 1927 in Taft, Texas to Alonzo and Lorrayne Tumlinson. He graduated from Sinton High School in 1945 and attended Texas A&M. Joe was a member of the Texas State Guard during World War II from 1944 to 1945. He joined the Air Force in 1946 and served with the 13th Air Force in Clark Field on Philippine Island. Following his service to our country, Joe began work with Plymouth Oil Company, which later became Marathon Oil, and retired after 38 years. Joe was one of the original members of the San Patricio County Riding and Roping Club. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and loved gardening. He also served on the Sinton School Board and the Sinton Cemetery Board, and was a long time member of the local Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Yolanda was born on March 30, 1929 to Gilbert and Ernestina Cardenas Garza. Yolanda was formerly of Del Rio, Texas but spent most of her life in San Antonio, Texas. She was a cosmetologist for more than 40 years where she owned and operated Geisha Hair Fashions.

2013037_1.jpgRamon Coronado Hernandez of St. Paul, Texas passed away May, 15, 2013. He was 78. Ramon was born on October 1, 1934 in Odem, Texas to Salome and Crestina Coronado Hernandez. Ramon proudly served his country in the United States Army as a Specialist Fourth Class. He began his military training at Fort Rucker, Alabama and was stationed at Fort Wainwright, Alaska. He was the owner of H & R Construction Company.

Survivors include four daughters and two sons: Mary Jane (Guadalupe) Rodriguez of Spring, Texas; Mary Rose (Al) Gonzales and Pedro (Maricela) Hernandez of Corpus Christi, Texas; Maryann (Gary) Crawley of Cantonment, Florida; Mary Jo (Tomaz) Jardon of Odem, Texas; and Eddie (Cynthia) Alvarado Hernandez of  St. Paul, Texas; four brothers and two sisters: Petra Lopez, Estella Gonzalez, Paula (George) Ruiz of Odem, Texas, Pedro "Peringa" Hernandez, Salome Hernandez, jr. of Sinton, Texas and Emelia (Joe) Ybarra of Three Rivers, Texas. Other survivors include numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Survivors include his wife Margie Martinez of Taft, Texas; sons Cory Sierra of Taft, Texas; Joe (Esther) Sierra of Houston, Texas; Antonio Martinez, Sr. of Taft, Texas and Adam Martinez of Taft, Texas; brother Emiliano (Norma) Martinez of Taft, Texas; sister Esmeralda (Sergio) Macias of California; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
