Taft – Octavio Guerrero passed away March 22, 2024. He was 96.
Octavio was born December 9, 1927 in Goliad, Texas to Delfina (Martinez) and Anastacio Guerrero. He grew up in Goliad, Texas but was a resident of Taft, Texas almost 50 years. He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend and will be missed by all who knew him.
Octavio is preceded in death by his wife: Hortencia Guerrero; son: Alfredo Guerrero; son-in-law: Carlos Ortiz; parents: Delfina and Anastacio Guerrero
Survivors include his sons: Ruben Guerrero (Terri) from Taft, Texas and Raymond Guerrero (Rita) from Ingleside, Texas; daughter: Sonia Ortiz from Portland, Texas; 5 grandchildren: Karla Juro (David) from Helotes, Texas, Freddie Guerrero, Jr. (Jennifer) from Portland, Texas, Nicholas Figueroa (Sarah) from Robstown, Texas, Sarah Guerrero (John Molina) from Portland, Texas and Ruben James Guerrero (Alexis) from Dickinson, Texas; 6 great-grandchildren: Mercedes, Jaden, Serena, David, Jr., Daniella, and Elisa; sister: Leticia Gamez (Larry) from Taft, Texas.
Visitation will begin Monday, March 25, 2024, 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Aransas Pass. The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be recited the same evening, 7:00 PM at the Funeral Home Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, March 26, 2024, 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Assumption Church in Ingleside. Interment will follow in Lamas Memorial Cemetery, Taft.
